Ma's(Kate) Chop Suey

2 lbs. Pork cubed
2 lbs. Beef cubed
1 stalk celery chopped
1 small onion
2 Tbs spoons molasses
Soy Sauce to taste
2 cans bean Sprouts
Rice

Flour and fry pork & beef in large pan.
Add water to cover, simmer
Add remaining ingredients except (Rice)
The soy should be added for taste. I found it takes alot, but I add as I taste throughout simmering.
Once the meat is tender serve over rice

Ma's(Kate) Chicken & Dumplings

Chicken Part
1 Stewing Chicken (cut up)
Celery
Onion
Chicken Bouillon
Cover with water and simmer until tender (about 4 hrs)

Dumplings
1 cup sifted flour
2 tsps baking powser
salt
1 egg
milk (enough to moisten)
Drop spoon fulls into chicken stew and cover about 5 minutes (Just check inside to make sure done). Remove dumplings and thicken gravy.  You must dumplings while hot or they tend to harden.
